If you're a bride-to-be shopping for a photographer, you know that wedding photography can easily be the most expensive thing on your list. Many wedding photographers charge anywhere from $1,500 to $5,000, or more. If your on a budget, those prices may well mean having no professional photographer at all. And you'd probably rather not have an amateur friend or relative shooting your special day!
I want to make wedding photography affordable for more people!
My rates are $600 for wedding-only coverage of up to three hours, and $850 for wedding and reception coverage of up to six hours. These rates include image retouching on your selected images. Proofs are viewable online or I will send you a CD. A printed proof book is optional and costs $75.
The Process
I photograph your wedding then examine the images, rejecting anything that's undesirable. The rest are the "proofs" that I send to you. After you select your final images from the proofs, I'll begin the retouching process. Retouching means removing blemishes, adjusting color balance, whitening teeth if needed, that sort of thing. After that's completed, you can take the images and have your own prints made without paying a royalty, or I can print them for you using my preferred professional printer.
Even though I retouch only your final selections, you still get all the proofed and retouched images in full resolution.
Many brides today enjoy "scrap booking" and wish to create their own wedding album and memories without being limited to standard albums that many photographers offer. So I leave that to you.
The Digital Advantage
I shoot 100% digitally using high quality professional gear with backups. Digital saves time and money. I can shoot many more photos of your wedding with no time wasted changing film and without extra cost to you. It's also much easier to retouch a digital image, such as fixing a blemish or balancing color. There are many other advantages to digital.
Image Rights - This is Very Important to You
You get all full-resolution image files with unlimited, non-commercial reproduction rights. This means you can make all the prints you want, using any photofinisher or printer, without paying any additional fees or royalties. You'll get a license release which is accepted by all printing companies. This will save you A LOT of money on your prints and enlargements.
Plus, more and more brides today are enjoying creating their own wedding albums. By granting unlimited (non-commercial) reproduction rights and providing the full resolution image files, my clients can have their own prints made in any size and any quantity they desire in order to create their own wedding album and memories exactly the way they want! You don't have to try to figure out ahead of time what photos and sizes you want because you get them all.
