The Digital Advantage
I shoot 100% digitally using high quality professional gear with backups. My digital images combined with sophisticated image post processing is superior to film. Film is great, no doubt. I have years of film that I've shot. But digital photography has many advantages over film.
Digital saves time and money. I can shoot many more photos of your event with no time wasted changing film and without extra cost to you. It's also much easier to retouch a digital image afterward, such as fixing a blemish or balancing color. There are many other advantages to digital.
Image Rights - This is Very Important to You
My rates and contract terms are quite unusual among professional photographers. Most professional photographers charge a couple of thousand dollars, at least, to shoot your event and deliver prints. Most will NOT give you the high-resolution digital files without a substantial extra fee.
My business is different: I grant all my clients an unlimited, non-commercial reproduction license and provide the full resolution digital files at no additional cost. The way I see it, it's YOUR event. YOU should have the image files! This means you can have as many prints made that you want with no additional payment to me, ever. This will save you A LOT of money.
Plus, more and more brides today are enjoying creating their own wedding album. By granting unlimited (non-commercial) reproduction rights and providing the full resolution image files, my clients can have their own prints made in any size and any quantity they desire in order to create their own wedding album exactly the way they want! You don't have to try to figure out ahead of time what photos and size you want because you get them all.
